Shipping policy

In order to avoid claims issues with USPS we have changed our shipping policy effective 12/13/2022. To avoid delays and mislaid packages we will attempt to use UPS where possible for all deliveries when "Insured Replacement within 10 days" is chosen at checkout. We may choose to deliver another way, but if your package is not delivered within 10 days, and you chose "Insured..." at checkout, we will send another package entirely at our expense no matter the carrier used. You agree to either return or pay for any subsequent delivery of the originally shipped, delayed or mislaid packages. Tracking showing delivery constitutes delivery. Be aware when and where your packages are arriving (track them), and pick them up promptly. Packages stolen after delivery cannot be compensated/replaced.

If you choose any other shipping method, we will be happy to assist you in the claims process for a mislaid package, but we will not unconditionally replace an item, nor will we pursue the claim with the carrier for you. There may be a remedy for your mislaid package with the carrier you chose, but YOU must file any claim with that carrier. You may never be successful in obtaining any refund due. We will be forthcoming with any records or information we have regarding your shipment which may aid you in your claim. Most, NOT ALL, shipping methods contain an default insured amount, usually $100. First Class Package rates are not insured.

We will attempt to ship items the same day or the next day. this is not always possible. Most shipping charges paid here are flat rate/per order amount. We subsidize shipping on most orders (we pay more than what we charge you for your order to be packaged and sent). With sixed shipping choices, ordering more quantity per shipment saves us both.

If you provide your own shipping label we can refund shipping charges on most orders. Email shipping label to ship@pirateschai.com. Shipping may be delayed for this service. It's best to notify us first, and we can invoice you the correct amount, create your order for you, so you won't pay twice for shipping and we won't ship your item before we see you wanted to use your own label. We are relieved of all responsibility for your order when we use your label, as soon as the product is shipped. We can accept your Fedex, UPS or USPS labels at this time.
